“I trained with Rachel through pregnancy and postpartum and didn’t miss a beat. I always felt confident and taken care of, and was provided with modifications to the workouts without having to ask. I 100% believe that labor was a breeze due to the core work foundations applied during my workouts prior to delivery- my nurses were impressed with my ability to engage my core and push just right! Postpartum I was facing a body I didn’t recognize. I wasn’t as strong, and I certainly didn’t look like what I was used to. Rachel helped me build my strength back up and I was surprised by how quickly I was back to using the same weights I was using pre-pregnancy, and then surpassing that weight! I’m now going through chemo and again - I’m finding myself not as strong as I’m used to being. Being able to continue to workout has been pivotal to feeling good both physically and mentally throughout this experience. “I had the pleasure of being coached by Rachel for over six years. During that time, she helped me grow to love my body for what it could do. I learned that I was capable of so much more than I ever thought possible, and this sentiment carried over during my pregnancy and postpartum experience. During pregnancy, I dealt with fatigue and nausea - Rachel encouraged me to keep moving my body to help it feel better. She made modifications for me to help keep me mobile and healthy. After the birth of my daughter, I struggled with pretty severe postpartum depression. In the midst of COVID, Rachel held space for me and encouraged me to come back to my body (as well as my heart & mind) through movement. I am forever grateful for what she has helped cultivate in me over the years - a passion for strength/growth and self love. I can’t wait to pass both of these things on to my now-two-year old daughter who gets super pumped whenever “mama exercises!”
